Two offices, two county seats
Whitworth Horn and Goetten runs offices in Jerseyville, the seat of Jersey County, and Carrollton, the seat of Greene County. Both are courthouse-square towns in corn and soybean country, and we have written insurance across the two counties since Bob Whitworth bought the Horn Insurance Agency in 1977.

Jersey County, Illinois
Our roots. The Horn Insurance Agency worked out of downtown Jerseyville for about forty years before Bob bought it in 1977, and Jerseyville is still the county seat where much of Jersey County does business. This is the base for crop, farm, home, auto, and everything else across the county.
Greene County, Illinois
Carrollton is the seat of Greene County, another courthouse-square town surrounded by corn and soybean ground. Our office here puts a local independent agent right in the county, serving Carrollton and the nearby towns of Roodhouse, White Hall, Greenfield, Kane, and Eldred.
The footprint
From the two offices, we write insurance for families, farms, and businesses across Jersey and Greene County and the towns nearby. If you don’t see your town on the list, you are probably still close enough. Give us a call and we will tell you straight.
Why local matters. A call center in another state does not know that Jersey and Greene County are corn and soybean ground, or that a July hailstorm can flatten a field between two phone calls. We do.
